Page 1 of 4 OverviewThe Family Independence Program (FIP) provides cash benefits to parents, certain other relatives (“kinship caregivers”) and /or the minor children in their care. As a condition of receiving FIP, parents often are assigned to work-related or other activities. CCJ helps explain the FIP rules to other agencies, monitors proposed policies, and works on solving problems and removing barriers in the program policies. |
